• Your information should be in binders. Books are for sure great resources. But everyone may notice that there are books which contain few interesting and useful information for you. On the other hand you can read an article and find more information without all that fluff. Such articles may be of great informational value and worth saving. So you may punch holes in them and place them in a binder. You may also label your binders and create a table of contents for you to find the information quickly. Binders will help you to get rid of low-value information.
• You should purchase bookshelves. Purchasing bookshelves for holding your collection is one of the first things that you have to do when creating your library. You may statrt with one or two bookshelves and purchase them as you can afford and as your space allows. Besides subconsciously you will try to fill empty shelves with necessary books.
• Don’t be afraid to write in your books. Your books should be working documents for you. Emphasize, underline, highlight, and leave notes in your books for you come back to it afterward and go directly to the points that you are interesting in.
• Books should be organized. You can organize your personal development books according to issue and by how important the book is for you. It will be easier for you to find information that you need later on.
• Your books should be checked out. Each time when you review the book, write the date when you do it on the inside of the cover of each of your books in order to know how often you seek information in this particular book.
