| Radio Operator | Radio operators apply various tools to get and transmit radio communications. Their duties are to repair equipment with electronic testing equipment, hand tools and power tools. It is rather effective to ask for advice technicians and supervisors who have big experience in this sphere. One can get experience working in smaller, local stations or larger stations and networks where are there are more possibilities to obtain valuable experience. Sometimes, employers offer their workers training programs to make their skills better and provide their professional development. In such programs employers pay the tuition and expenses for courses and seminars.
The highest salary is obtained in such American cities as New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago and Washington, D.C. Up to 2012, it is expected that the amount of radio operators will reduce, because the quantity of stations that utilize remote transmitters, increases. With the enhancements in technology, operators began to produce higher quality radio and television programming.
