Transcripts of Academic Results

Generally, cources require the results transcripts showing what subjects an applicant took at undergraduate level and, the results obtained. The majority of institutions do not accept photocopies of these transcripts. Official duplicate transcripts can be found from the previous university of a candidate.

All graduate courses will require the submission of academic references. Some lecturers are more careful about writing references than others. Some institutions require references to be sent directly to them, while others ask for returning to the student in a preserved cover, and then submitted along with the rest of the application.

Student’s transcript presents information about his or her academic background his or her grades, as well as what courses he or she have taken, tell the admissions committee a great deal about who is he or she are as a student.

The transcript is not included in the application that a student sends to the graduate program. Instead, it is sent by the registrar's office at his or her college or university. In order to have a student’s transcript included in his or her application, a student will have to visit the registrar's office and fill out forms for every program to which he or she would like to forward a transcript.

An applicant should begin this process early because almost all institutions require time to process all forms and send the transcripts. Sometimes transcripts never arrive to students, because of errors on the side of his or her institution, the mailroom at the institution to which a student is applying, or the varied hazards of snail mail. So, every student should be sure to check that his or her transcript has arrived and permit himself or herself enough time to request another transcript if needed.
