| Time Management Tips | 2. Graduate students should take their time in preparation and organizing. Each day they should make it a point to check their calendar, take note of their future assignments, and their lists must be updated.
3. Students should divide the tasks and assignments into smaller elements. It will be convenient and easier to complete.
4. They should be able to recognize their set of aims and the deadlines to accomplish them. An example for this is when they set deadlines which are realistic for every phase of finishing a large assignment like the term paper.
5. They must classify their tasks and lists according to priority. The whole picture must be taken into account. They make a decision which is the most significant between their tasks and lists. Which task will be due this week? Which task is not easy?
6. They must be flexible all the time and be conscious that there will always be interruptions which will delay their every day schedule. Students should make space for essential changes of their time.
7. They should be able to know the time where they are very creative and identify their natural highs and lows. Students should plan their whole day properly due to their style of life as there are people that do best in the morning or in the afternoon person. They must reserve the most complicated task during the time when they are at their best to do something.
8. Students should not be ashamed to say if they are unable to do something. There are occasions where they will be given additional courses, responsibilities of job, activities which outside their schedule. They should try to examine carefully how relevant they are to them, before they decide to admit them.
9. The time wasted must be used appropriately for productive purposes. Students should always bring a pocketbook so as to make use of the time which will be wasted. They may take with their minor task which could be done easily. They could use the time to make some changes in their planner and for self organization. With the additional number of minutes, students will be able to achieve more.
